I wonder if google is purposely re-engineering their search results to be shittier (ie making top results less relevant) in an effort to push people to favour their AI search instead?
Or is AI SEO-ing their way into the top results, filling it up with irrelevant slop?
It’s seeming harder for me to get past the corporate garbage, AI Bullshit and advertisements these days. And sometimes that’s all there is, making me think in some cases this hypothetical shit-search algorithm so strict that it’s actively hiding relevant results from me, I wonder.
It just seems like something they would do, but also and especially because it kind of makes sense if you’re a faceless corporation run by sociopathic oligarchs who only care about money and don’t give a shit about human suffering.
